RE: Gems 1.14.1.7 - Registered Write-In giving internal error when trying to view ballot

Yes, I can go to the latest version and it may work.  However, in this case, the customer would not only have to update Gems but also their AVTS units.  Is this something we want to ask them to do??  I know that installing both Gems & AVTS software is not difficult, and we could probably talk them through it on the phone or with some instructions.  But I do not have the time for it right now, does anybody else???

Can't reproduce it under 1.17.3.  Folks, before you post bug reports please check the latest version to see if it has already been fixed.

Subject: Gems 1.14.1.7 - Registered Write-In giving internal error when trying to view ballot

Rowan County, NC is trying to put in a Registered Write-In Candidate into 2 races.  She is able to add them into the race and then create ballots, however when she goes to view the ballot she gets an internal error.  I was able to reproduce the problem here on my laptop also.  I have never done any registered write-in candidates before, but don't you add them just like a regular write-in candidate??
