The space.txt file is ASCII.  It is not possible to have "the correct character set".
Asian languages don't have keyboards.  What do you intend to put on the "A" key?  If the answer is "A", and they are expected to type in "George Walker Bush", then the person typing probably knows how to spell "space" too, no?

Write-in backspace button and space bar button only accept text, not Asian Language rich-text.
The characters come across as garbage, even though the TS Text file has the correct asian character set.
