Ballot Station 4.1.0.3 manual L&A ballot casting error

Touching the Cast Ballot button after visually voting the first ballot in Count Test using the Manual L&A option results in the following error message:

The following error has been detected:

Internal Error

The ballot was voted using a challenged voter card.  The database is the Florida general certification database loaded with audio.
