RE: Cancel Button face reverting to English default

This is fixed and will be in 4.1.3.  The problem that Tab fixed was with the Cancel button on the cast vote page.  Your original report didn't make clear what cancel button you were talking about.

Now, the write-in related fix is not all good news for the LA database.  Version 4 ballot station puts the write-in text on the touch screen that is specified in the GEMS race editor.  This differs from the 3.x code where the write-in label was just hard coded for each language.  If you look at the non English rich text for write-ins in the LA database, you'll see that they are all English.  This is why the text was "reverting" to English.  The real bug here wasn't that it was reverting to English.  The bug was that we showed the non-English at all.

Tab,

The bugtrack was verified with Don V. and is as follows:

After selecting a non English default language and selecting write in,( the "write-in" verbiage is in the selected language..),progressing to the write in keyboard, entering the write in candidate name, (via the English keyboard), recording the vote, and finally returning to the original page of the ballot where the write in candidate was first selected
(after this next action the bug occurs ) Pressing the already voted write in candidate  name again, in order to cancel the vote, reverts the write-in candidate button face to "English". The vote is canceled but instead of the selected language being displayed for "Write-in" verbiage, the default English "Write-In" verbiage is displayed. The cancel vote routine for write in is assuming defaults.

Jeff,

What VIBS dialog and CANCEL button are you talking about?

I have found that the "Cast Ballot" button label is displayed in English when the Spanish language is selected AND have not voted for any candidate.  Is this the bug you are trying to report?  If so the problem is in the TSText.txt file where, in the Spanish section, the "RVD_NoVotesRecordButtonText" refers to the 1033 directory rather that the 1034 directory.

This is fixed and will be in TSText-1-18-6..
