RE: BS 4.1.x audio clicks

That sucks.  What are you going to call this new release?  I guess we'll have to put stickers on the units to identify the release level installed.

Currently there is no displayed identifier for the WinCE release.  I will be trying to add this to the WinCE 3.0 release.

How are the releases identified?  Once installed, is there any indicator as to the release level?

I will try to get a new WinCE 2.12 release out tomorrow that has this fixed.

Reported by Deborah Seiler and others.  There is an audible "click" sound at the end of each audio clip in VIBS.  This click is all the more apparent with the volume turned way up for the Louisiana poll worker notification feature.

The problem is unfortunately with the low-level audio drivers from BSquare.  Tab has rewritten the driver for Windows CE 3.0.  This solves the clicking, and will hopefully be out shortly.  Unfortunately the 3.0 port is not yet complete and there is nothing we can do for the existing Windows CE 2.12 in time for Louisiana.
