thank you - I appreciate it and yes I would have to do the manual stuff on most of the Ca accounts as well as west coast.

This has been a feature since GEMS started generating postscript.  Turning it off as an option is probably a reasonable request, but I hate to blow it for everyone.  Which account is this?  Obviously they are making a stink or we wouldn't be having this conversation, but we have run dozens (hundreds?) of elections in California with it working the way it does, so something (or someone) must be new.
 
Tari, we'll send you a 1.17.21 prerelease that doesn't squish if its so critical that you'd actually do it manually if we don't send it.  Use it to re-lay out the ballots, and then go back to the standard release until we get this resolved.

attached is picture of races in 1-17-20  - each race has the same font size for header and text so why does Gems squish it in some and not in others -  we need smooth consistent layout of races
