SLO experience a "File Locking" problem during their November 2000 election.

JResultClient was installed on 4 PCs connected on a LAN. When the script.lst, S1-0.txt, etc were updated on the JResultClient LAN, JResultClient could not access the file S1-0.txt. The file S1-0.txt could not be updated or deleted because it was locked by another PC. They had to bring down the JResultClient with each new update of script.lst, S1-0.txt.
