Official response:
Global has contracted with RX Laser to deliver
Ballot On Demand functionality. Requests relating to BOD should be
directed to them.
RXLaser only helped Global with VTS accounts.
This is not
correct. RX has helped with GEMS accounts (though I use the term
loosely).
They used a conversion program to take
PostScript Files and turn them into condensed PCL files. They couldn't
write a conversion program to convert the GEMS Postscript Files into Condensed
PCL.
Specious.
GEMS can generate PCL natively. There is no need for RX to convert
anything. I am afraid the reasons for them abandoning BOD are
much more straightforward than some postscript conversion
problem.
So RXLaser is out of the picture for GEMS BOD
accounts.
True, whatever the
reasons, but this fact does not alter the
official response.
