Guy, in your prior email you proposed the following:

option to enable sorting with the feeder. This can be saved on the memory
card so that it need not be reset every time the AV is powered on.

I thought that was reasonable, giving everyone a chance to
select the method they wanted to use. I agree that just to "add it back"
will create problems for others as we move forward trying to track what features
are imbedded in different versions. With your suggestion users of either
method can be on the same rev., get what they want, and its easier for Global to
administer. This seems like the way to go to me.

We can't just add the feeder sort back in for the next release
or we'll repeat history. Last time there were loud protests and there
was no one speaking up to keep it in. And I expect that doing a custom
release based on f< would require a lot more than just accepting races with
no candidates. Also we need very strong justification for any custom
release.
So if you don't like the setup option, please propose some other
method of keeping the peace.
