And hmmm on my part, too. I
hadn't realized you had anything to do with audio import, I thought Tab had done
it exclusively. Hope there wasn't a duplicative effort. Tab put an
English language import for races and candidates in place to take into account
the vast number of races in the LA general. But the Bexar County, Texas we just
did ain't small, either. And so it will keep on going.
One of the big advantages of
external recording is that the recording can occur without tying up the
database. Which saves the account manager up to a week of time. With
recording software, we have the opportunity to scale volume and perform noise
reduction; GEMS simply doesn't provide the level of recording quality from the
various machines we have used here, although this definitely is also an issue of
hardare (ie. microphone, sound card, (and possibly) machine).
