GEMS 'uses' whatever printer you select.  If its a postscript driver, you get postscript;  if its a PCL driver, you get PCL.  Both ballot artwork and reports can be PS or PCL (or PDF or whatever).  The 5si printers we ship are set up with postscript drivers.

We don't ship 5Si printers, only HP5000 printers.  Excuse me for intruding on this thread, but I had to clarify that.
 
Afraid to ask but, why do you ask?

Question:  Does GEMS use BOTH postscript for ballot image printing and PCL for standard reports when printing to HP5si?
