RE: Loading Election to PCMCIA that already has election

Sorry Steve, you were right.  The attached message, sent to you monday, was pretty rude and not very clear.

But never so effectively and concisely and politely as Jeff explained it.

Insert a Manager Card, and use the Delete Election function.

What is the recommended procedure for loading a new election onto a PCMCIA card that already has an election on it?  Is there a function in Ballot Station that deletes the CurrentElection folder (that you are running I guess?) or do you need a "desktop" function.  It's no big deal to find a laptop with desktop capability to do a few, but what about many hundreds or thousands?  Curious.

Just delete it.  You can get it back with the archive function.  I don't really like the user interface myself -- it wasn't obvious to me either when I first did it.

Subject: Downloading PCMCIA from GEMS on same laptop

Ken,
If your in, I'm having Brain freeze.  I've got a vote center queued up and port started.  To get download to complete on PCMCIA card, do I start up ballot station?  I think problem could be I have a "current election" folder already on PCMCIA so it starts up old file vs. new download.  I was just afraid to delete it because I thought it would ruin the "archive" function somehow.
