RE: GEMS error-election.com data import

I will be working all day tomorrow on training classes, but I will look at it, once I get home at night.

Jeff, thanks.  I also understand that they are using GEMS 1.17.22.  I'll get with Kris tomorrow and have him send the export.  Again, thanks!  Lesley

Hi Lesley,

Have Kris send me the export file created from the Election.Com system, and I will try to figure what is the problem.

Subject: GEMS error-election.com data import

From Johnson County, Kansas
GEMS 1.17.17

Receiving GEMS error message

Trying to import 2002 August election data from election.com file

GEMS says there is an index error and that it cannot duplicate entries
Says the error is in candv group line 500

Kris (JoCo) thinks is data error, but can't see any difference in line 500 from any other line

Since importing over 1500 candidates, difficult to locate error w/out more specific info

Anybody out there have experience with this type of import and error message???

Thanks, Lesley
