Ataa, this in fact a bug.  Selecting Specify Column should immediately enable the Side radio buttons and Column field under the Options tab in the Header Editor.

2- Side radio buttons are grayed even after clicking Specify Column.

Sure - I created a header and the option to set the column is grayed out....

However - If I click the specify column and then click apply, the buttons for where to place them un-gray.... 

Is this what you guys want it to do???
