RE: [global] Re: November Survivors

Wow, talk about speak of the devil.  Dmitry and I were just discussing today how you were running late on your annual corrupt memory card posting.  Thank you for not letting us down.  [Seriously, no sarcasm.  It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without you, Steve.]

FWIW, JResult slowness has a fighting chance next year.  We have added targeted development resources to see that this issue is addressed.

Another year has passed.  Does Diebold corporate want to give a status on

"failing memory cards" and JResults script slowness, which were items to be

addressed from our last CAL. April 17 users meeting.  We promised an update

from corporate - Urosevich, Green, Moreland??  Any update?

Even with lawsuits and possible recounts, Fresno is going to certify Dec.

3rd.  That will allow us to come to Sacramento for New Law prior to actually

starting the recount.  YEAH!

The Global meeting should be great - I have several hot button items that I

would like to discuss:

Failing memory cards, too slow central count feeders, number of scripts and

speed of "J" Results and the process (or lack of it) of finding voted

absentee ballots (for a recount) after they were counted in batches and

stored.

Looking forward to seeing all of you and kicking up our heels (or hanging

spoons) for a while.

The New Law agenda is always so packed, we had to overlap something in order

to arrange a Diebold meeting.  Based on my past experience, the December

Legislative Committee meeting agenda is always fairly light.

So here's a compromise I hope will work:

We'll reschedule the Diebold meeting from 3:00pm-4:30pm on Wednesday.

That way, a few people might have to leave the Board of Directors meeting

before the scheduled 3:30pm ending time and a few will arrive at the Leg

meeting a bit after the 4pm start time.

Of course you may leave the Diebold meeting early if you like. (But we'll

have the hors d'oeuvres!)

I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving and I look forward to seeing you in

December.
