Re: 4k smart cards invalid after voting in test count

It was weird -  I started all over and programmed some 4k from the normal card reader on the poll book -  then I took a 4k card and downloaded a card encoder for spyrus -  then I voted with the 4 k cards -  then i loaded spyrus with the card encoder - then was able to clear and create new 4k voter cards form the spyrus
it was like the clear button was stuck and I couldn't clear any 4k cards until i cleared one of the ones I had created on the regular pollbook
then I could clear and create on the 4k cards from the spyrus
hope that helps

I'd be interested to know what is was that you were doing wrong.  Someone else will probably run into the same scenario, and I'd like to be able to match the mistake with the symptoms below.  No embarasment necessary.

I believe I was doing something wrong - I walked through it all again -  thanks Steve - and got it all set up correctly

Here's the scenario
load election on TS  3-13-9-2
program spyrus card manager
program 4 k cards from spyrus
go to test count - vote - no problem
exit test and print results
go back to test and totals appear to be there -6 original votes cast
insert voter card - remove invalid card -
program card again from same spyrus
insert voter card in TS - remove invalid card
tried it 4 times and each time card is invalid

Am I doing something wrong?  do i need to reload spyrus -
this would imply that once a card is voted at precinct it cannot be reprogrammed for next voter...
which could be a disaster..
so I must be doing something wrong
thanks
