My bet: that will work
fine.
I think what is happening
here is that there is some software package out there that thinks it is smart
about riched and overwrites it on install. This isn't uncommon: GEMS
install thinks it is pretty smart about
MDAC.
What would be interesting is
to figure out the errant program. It could be something very innocuous,
but unlikely something from Microsoft.
