RE: Touch Screen Calibration with BS Software

It will be great having the calibration routine bundled with the system setup screen.  This would reduce installation time per unit, by having to access only one area of the software to perform the setup functions.

My understanding, from Tab's explanation of the magic PCMCIA card, is that the system would boot and operate from the image on that card.  Would this magic PCMCIA card allow changes to the "Internal Flash Filesystem"?  Settings made to the touch screen calibration need to be flushed to the "Internal Flash Filesystem" to remain in effect.

Another area where keyboard navigation would be useful is during the manufacturing process.  When powering units for the first time, the calibration settings are unknown.   There needs to be a method of selecting the calibration function in case the initial touch screen calibration will not allow activation of this function through the touch screen.

Calibration will be part of the initial setup proceedure.  Just like date and serial number.  All touch devices for example the Jornada work like this.  Well, except for ours currently.

Granted, manufacturing is ultimately going to need under the hood now and then.  This will probably involve something more drastic though, like a magic PCMCIA card or something.
The specs are attached below.

Thanks.
