Labeling candidate cells in a fixed or flow row cross endorse

The ballot for the state of New York is based on the lever machine.  The rows and columns are labelled similar to a spread sheet.

The first candidate in the top row is labelled 1A to a possible 28A and  is reserved for the party the elected governor belongs to.  The second row is 1B through to a possible 28B.  Candidates put their cell label on their campaign signs.  "Vote for me, 7C".

The ballot layout requires that the cells be labelled.  This currently is not possible when using the current cross endorse feature because the cross endorsed cells are a copy of the original main cell.

The New York City ( 5 boroughs) ballot requires cell labelling in the portrait mode while all the other counties require cell labelling in the landscape mode for certification.
