RE: Changing of Default Count Method in Vote Centers in GEMS

I will check with them about the possibility of the voter registration system passing us the # of units information.  However, I highly doubt that there is any field for this information, since in the past it was always a 1 to 1 relationship.

Jeff,

If Johnston county is using AccuVote-TS units for most of their vote centers I presume they will still have to define the number of units to use for each vote center.  Is this something that their voter registration system can tell use or is it something they will still have to set for their 300+ voter centers.  If they have to set the number of AccuVote-TS units then they may as well set the count method.

Subject: Changing of Default Count Method in Vote Centers in GEMS

Jurisidiction:            All Accounts
Date Requested:    Dec. 8,  2002
Date Required:       Jan. 2002, before FebElection for Johnson County, KS

Requested on behalf of Johnson County, KS.  Since they will be using 99% of AVTS for their elections, can we put within the Setup a Count Method category, where we can change the Count Method default.  Currently the Count Method default is set to AccuVote-OS, this would require them to change all 300 + Vote Centers to AccuVote-TS, each time they have an election.

Thanks,
