Not enough carbon in the ink!  INVALID MARKS  Take a ballot that does not
work.  Use a pencil and colour over the existing marks and try it.  Better
yet, use a Sharpie, I know it bleeds through, but it will certainly give you
lots of carbon and a complete fill.
