Re: @precinct on headers using sequence #'s

I had demonstrated to Washington County that this could be done using an unassigned header and dragging it onto the ballot. The problem is that it places the same header on all ballots with that front. Ken had done a work around for an election for me once but I am not clear how he did it. If a header could be assigned only to the ballot you have on screen it would solve several problems - such as turn ballot over etc.. What Minn. wishes to do is have a small header that list each precinct that the ballot style is good for. Eg. if ballot style 1 will work in precincts 1,2,6,8 & 10 they wish to make a small header with those numbers.

Barry,     Please sent this stuff to the rcr list rather than directly to me.     Yes this could be done but if the list is large it may affect the apparent font size in the header.  Also how should the list be formatted, as a comma separated list, tab separated or one on each line? Tab

We mean a listing of the precincts that the ballot card applies to included in the header.Barry

You cannot print precinct names on ballots using Sequence numbers. This does not make any sense.  The purpose behind using sequence numbers is to reduce the number of different 'card/precincts' to be printed.  If you put the precinct name on the ballot then what is the point.  Just use precinctIds. Tab

Minnesota as well as some of our other counties would like to print the precinct name on the ballots in the headers when they use sequence #'s. Is there some way we could do this with the @precinct header ? or is it only good with precinct Id's?  If that is the case is there another solution? Tari Runyan
